At Total Grower Services we have extensive experience in Integrated Crop Management solutions to achieve productivity increases. In tree crops such as avocados, mangos, papaya, citrus and macadamia nuts our aim is to increase yield and quality using the latest research and sustainable approaches.
Improving soil health, managing disease, reducing pest problems, addressing water moisture and soil structure limitations and increasing nutrient availability are all core to our integrated approach. The approach you take with each of these impacts the others.
Our expertise in combined Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Soil Health including structure and nutrition is what gives growers the leading edge in results.
We pay significant attention to nutrient availability through soil health and biological inputs. The use of Petrik Soil inoculants has transformed the results we achieve.
The soil inoculants Digestor and its activator Green Manure Plus, are core in tree crops, with benefits in soil structure, water infiltration and rooting depth and mass – right through to plant robustness and fruit quality.
The soil programs combined with advanced foliars that work through biological pathways give tree crops resilience and fruiting robustness.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
Where possible we use Integrated Pest Management. We always look for the most progressive, cost effective and helpful ways of managing pests. WE use Bugs for Bugs and BioResources technology for our IPM. The use of beneficial insects has dramatically reduced our need for insecticide usage, saving you money and improving the sustainability factor.
Soil inoculants and the use of IPM positively link together. When the plant obtains its nutrition from its own plant driven fertile system, less nitrogen and other inputs that attract pests are in the system. Through the use of biology we can maintain peak productivity with lower nitrogen inputs that are known to light up pest activity. Phosphorus availability is highly linked to proliferation of specific phosphorous solubilising biology. When phosphorous is supplied to the plant via this mechanism the supply of phosphorus becomes plant driven, meaning nutrient supply increases at the stages the plant demands it.
Working With Us
You can implement as much or as little of our approach as you want – we can provide full agronomy service in your system or just the beneficial insects or just the soil health component. We integrate our specialist solutions in with your system requirements, working across all soil types. We would love to help lift your yield, quality and ROI.
