The production experience of the team means systems utilise existing record keeping where possible to minimise paperwork. Systems are designed to assist productivity in a way that a bolt on plan from a company working only in quality assurance cannot deliver. Environmental Management Systems can demonstrate real improvements in reducing on and off site impacts of production processes through significantly reduced fungicide use, lower synthetic nitrogen inputs and increased use and efficiency of phosphorus.

TGS has developed Farm Management Systems which integrate risk analysis for food safety, quality and environmental management. Growers use these systems to manage the various risks and to demonstrate compliance to interested parties. Integrated systems reduce the paper trail by combining procedures and records for farm activities required to manage and demonstrate management of the various risks. The manuals address these issues using systems which require minimum paperwork. Systems are provided in electronic and mirrored hardcopy format allowing easy reference for location and storage of forms.
