James Halliday's
Winemaker of the Year 2010, Tyrell's Wines, recently suffered some vine damage from Sprayseed herbicide used to
control interow weeds. The herbicide was applied at too high a pressure and resulted in severe damage to the vines.
Andrew Pengilly's initial assessment was that the vines were a write-off. However, Nigel Wagstaffe of
Landmark Rutherford suggested a combination of Petrik Rescue and Response. Andrew took 5L of each to try. The
response of the treated vines was so significant Andrew came back for another 60L of each product and is now also treating wind damaged vines.
