Petrik Chemistry

Total Grower Services is supported by the unique Petrik tools system of soil, tissue and water testing. All tests are designed to help understand the nutritional requirements of your plants in order to make them healthier and improve their yield. Although we do not have consultants in every area in Australia we are still able to undertake soil analysis testing and reporting on your behalf if you can supply us with a sample of your soil. Please contact us for more information on this service.

Petrik Soil Analysis Report

The soil analysis system enables diagnosis of chemical limitations in the soil prior to application of biology. More than 60 years experience in the field has lead to the Petrik test which presents a simple easy to read graphical depiction of your levels against optimum levels of each essential element for your soil.

The test includes kilograms per hectare recommendations for each element to reach optimum soil conditions. The Petrik system also evaluates and rates ratios between elements. This system support enables growers to provide the optimum chemical conditions for the Petrik biology to operate in. By evaluating and improving the chemical, physical and biological properties of the soil the Petrik system is able to deliver complete nutrition.

Soil analysis report
K is at 64 % of desired level and the field need in this case to correct to 15.7cm is 164 kg/ha of potassium.

Petrik Tissue Analysis Report

The Petrik tissue analysis test shows tested levels of essential elements in the crop against critical and target levels for the specific crop stage. These elements are then ranked with respect to limitations to optimum production to highlight elements for foliar correction. Recommendations for application of these elements in grams per hectare are included in the report. While foliar application can be very useful in amending temporary deficiencies, our primary objective is to create optimum soil conditions for the support of the soil life the crop.

Tissue report
In this example potassium is the 3rd element most limiting to optimum production. This Petrik interpretation specifies 1950 g/ha of K be applied in conjunction with Petrik Impulse 200 for immediate temporary rectification of deficiency. Long term amendment will always require addressing soil availability and uptake issues.
